The purpose of this cookie policy is to inform you clearly and precisely about the cookies used on this website.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small piece of text that the websites you visit send to your browser that allows the website to remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language and other choices, in order to make your next visit easier and more useful to you. Cookies play a very important role and contribute to a better browsing experience for the user.
Types of cookies
Depending on the entity that manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and the data obtained are processed, two types of cookies can be distinguished: first-party cookies and third-party cookies.
There is also a second classification according to the length of time they remain stored in the client’s browser, being session cookies or persistent cookies.
Finally, there is another classification with five types of cookies according to the purpose for which the data obtained is processed: technical cookies, personalisation cookies, analysis cookies, advertising cookies and behavioural advertising cookies.
Cookies used on the website
The cookies that are being used on this portal are identified below, as well as their type and function:
The website of the EMHA uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service developed by Google, which allows the measurement and analysis of browsing on websites. In your browser you will be able to see cookies from this service. According to the above typology, these are own cookies, session cookies and analysis cookies.
Through web analytics, information is obtained on the number of users accessing the website, the number of pages viewed, the frequency and repetition of visits, their duration, the browser used, the operator providing the service, the language, the terminal used and the city to which your IP address is assigned. This information enables this portal to provide a better and more appropriate service.
To ensure anonymity, Google will anonymise your information by truncating the IP address before storing it, so that Google Analytics is not used to locate or collect personally identifiable information about visitors to the site. Google may only send the information collected by Google Analytics to third parties insofar as it is legally obliged to do so. In accordance with the Google Analytics terms of service, Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Another cookie that is downloaded is a technical cookie called JSESSIONID. This cookie enables the storage of a unique identifier per session through which it is possible to link data necessary to enable the current navigation.
Finally, a cookie called show_cookies is downloaded, which is of a technical and session type. It manages the user’s consent to the use of cookies on the website, with the aim of remembering those users who have accepted them and those who have not, so that the former are not shown information about them at the top of the page.
The website of the EMHA also uses the Facebook Pixel. We use the Facebook Pixel social network tool to advertise our services, that allow us to track the behaviour of users who visit our website and advertising campaigns, obtaining personalised audiences on our website to help us achieve better targeting. The Facebook pixel is a product of Facebook Inc. (1601 d. California, Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA).
This tool makes it easy for us to create advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram by placing the Facebook Pixel which allows us to:
- Track the behaviour of visitors to our website who simultaneously register on Facebook, allowing us to advertise to customised audiences on our website, i.e. to a group of users based on specific behaviour by placing a cookie in their browser.
- Segment the ad recipients according to the interests and particularities of the target audience to which we want to direct the campaign.
When the user decides to follow EMHA and/or join its social network account on Facebook/Instagram, he/she consents to the access of personal data published on his/her public profile in accordance with the aforementioned purposes.
These personal data, the contact name, which allow the identification of a person and, where appropriate, images, are not incorporated into any file of the EMHA.
